3/24/2007 (Sat.)Certificate Ceremony. The MYVTMI Certificate Ceremony is to recognize the time and effort our fellow brothers and sisters have dedicated to the pursuit of the Ving Tsun System. At the ceremony, they will have the opportunity to perform the forms of our system and receive a certificate to recognize that they have acquired a certain level within the system. As a Kung Fu Family, we hope that you will support your fellow brothers and sisters and attend this special occasion. The Ceremony will begin at 12:00pm. You are all welcome to arrive early to train with the brothers and sisters of the Main and Branch Schools. Please take this oppportunity to share and play with people outside of your own school.
2/18/2007 (Sun.)Chinese New Year celebration at Joy Tsin Lau restaurant in Chinatown. We will meet at the mokwoon at 2 p.m. and head over to the restaurant at 3 p.m. There will be a lion dance at the restaurant at 4 p.m.
1/13/2007 (Sat.)SiSuk Miguel Hernandez will give a seminar entitled “Ving Tsun Training for Application” at the Hatboro Branch of Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence, which is located at 31 North York Road, Hatboro, PA 19040. Fee is $25/person. The Chinatown branch will be closed.

Day 0 – Nov 5, Sunday:
Departure from Newark, NJ – Continental Flight 89. Departing 12:15pm
Day 1 – Nov 6, Monday: Arrive BeiJing 3:00 PM. Check in XiXi You Yi Hotel.
Day 2 – Tues: Tour Tianenmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven
Day 3 – Wed: Visit the Great Wall and Ming’s Tomb. Special dinner at Quan Je De restaurant famous for peking duck. Overnight train ride to Luoyang.
Day 4 – Thurs: Visit “White Hourse Temple”. Stay at Luoyang Peony Plaza Hotel.
Day 5 – Fri: Bus ride to DengFeng to visit Longmen Grottos, then 1.5 hours to Shaolin to visit Zhongyue temple. Watch kung fu show and study. Stay overnight at the Zen hotel.
Day 6 – Sat: Morning training at Shaolin temple. After lunch, visit Henam museum and back to ZhenZhou. Catch flight at 5:00pm to Guangzhou. Bus ride to Fatshan. Check in to Foshan Hotel.
Day 7-8: Sun-Mon Visit Yip Man Tong. Visit Chin Woo school. Visit Yip Man’s students. Visit Jong factory.
Day 9 – Tues: Train ride to Hong Kong. Check in MetroPark MongKok hotel.
Day 10, 11, 12, 13: Meet Sibak Mickey. Visit Yip Man’s grave site. Visit Ving Tsun Athletic association. Visit Yip Ching, Ming Tsai, Wing, Sam Lau, etc. Enjoy Hong Kong.
Day 14: (Nov. 19, Sunday) Continental Flight 98 leaving Hong Kong 11:25 am. Arriving Newark, NJ 1:50 pm.
10/28/2006Brooklyn Grand Opening Also, on Saturday, 10/29, we will be traveling to Brooklyn for the Grand Opening of Sisuk Miguel Hernandez’ mokwoon. This is another opportunity to see how strong our family is, and congratulate one of Sifu’s closest brothers. We will be leaving from Sifu’s house at 10:00am sharp.
10/25/2006ChinaTrip Pep Ralley On Wednesday evening, 10/25, we will be having a China Trip send-off at the Chinatown Mokwoon. This will be a sort of “pep rally”, and we will be discussing the significance of the trip, and the amazing strength of the kung fu family. Friends and Family all welcome to attend.

10/7/2006 and onWeapons Class Sifu will be beginning a weapons class starting this Saturday, 10/7 at 11:30am. It will be an ongoing class over the next 3 months, and those eligible to participate are welcome, and encouraged to come when able.
9/30/2006Certificate Ceremony and Brazil Presentation Please the join the Chinatown Branch of the Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence Family in honoring those students who have progressed to the next step in their Kung Fu.
We will be having a Certificate Ceremony on Saturday, September 30th at 1:00pm. We have several students moving to both the Chum Kiu and Biu Je levels, so please come and aknowledge their achievement.
Along with it, we will be presenting a video slide show of the 18th Anniversary of our family in Brazil, followed by a lecture by Sifu Pete Pajil on learning Ving Tsun Kung Fu.
9/23/2006Columbia Martial Arts Show We are planning to attend SiBak Henry Moy Yee Martial Arts Club show at Columbia University, Alfred Lerner Hall, 115 Street & Broadway, Roone Arledge Auditorium this Saturday, Sept 23rd at 3pm. There is a $5.00 entrance fee. If you are going please let me know by Wednesday so that we can let SiBak Henry know as we are also trying to plan on having dinner with him and his students after the event. Please plan for approximately $20 for dinner. We will be leaving Sifu’s house at noon on Saturday. Hope to see you Saturday.
9/6/2006Trip to Brazil Sifu will be giving a seminar in early September in Sao Paoo, Brazil with SiSuk Leo Immamura
For those interested in going, he will be leaving 9/6 at 9:00pm and returning 9/11 at 9:30pm
8/5/2006Pay respects to Sigung! Sifu will be taking a trip up to New York to visit Sigung Moy Yat’s grave in Valhalla. Let’s join him and pay our respects to Sigung!
We will meet at Sifu’s house in Blackwood N.J. on Saturday, August 5th by 10 am. From there we will carpool to Brooklyn and meet Sitai Helen Moy at the Thai Lake restaurant Then we will visit the gravesite, and afterwards return to N.Y. for dinner.
7/4/2006Ving Tsun Day Sifu would like to invite everyone to his house Tuesday, July 4th at 1pm for Ving Tsun Day. Sifu has just recently put in a new pool so bring your swimsuit and towel for a splashing good time.
6/24/2006Sihing/Sidai Chi Sao This Saturday, June 24, at 11:00am, the Hatboro branch of Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence will be hosting a Chi Sao Workshop given by Sifu Pete Pajil.
The focus will be on maximizing the Sihing/Sidai relationship in Chi Sao, and participants are encouraged to come in Sihing-Sidai pairs. Topics covered will include: Chi Sao Exercises; what makes a good Sihing; what makes a good Sidai; how to get the most out of the training experience.
The Seminar fee is $25. Only Chi Sao level students may participate, but others may attend for free (although they are encouraged to give hung bao.)
6/4/2006 (Sun.)Sifu’s Birthday Since Sifu is busy on Saturday, we will celebrate his birthday this Sunday. We will meet at 5.00pm at the Spaghetti Warehouse at 1026 Spring Garden St. and just enjoy a great event.
5/20/2006 (Sat.)Maryland Grand Opening Please check your schedule for May 20th, Saturday. Sifu Sam Harris has scheduled his Ving Tsun school grand opening in Maryland at 3:00pm on this day. We would like a group to accompany Sifu for this event.
Don’t miss out on a great opportunity to hang out with our own Sifu and brothers and sisters, be a representative of the Philly school, meet other family members, and just enjoy a great event.
5/6/2006 (Sat.)2nd Anniversary, 1p.m. at Chinatown school. In celebration of our Mo Kwoon’s 2nd anniversary, we will hold a certificate ceremony followed by dim sum on Saturday, May 6th at 11:30 am.
4/1/2006 (Sat.)Bai Si Ceremony, 1p.m. at Chinatown school. Everyone is invited to join in the witnessing and congratulations as John Decker and Andrea Snyder bai si in the traditional tea ceremony on Saturday, April 1st at 1 pm.
This tradition that our family carries on will be the first at the Chinatown Mo Kwoon. It is considered good luck in everyone’s kung fu to witness such an event. To bai si represents discipleship with Sifu in the Ving Tsun system. Hope to see everyone there!
